Instructions:

Pick up trash bags from the main office porch at Hale Reservation. Bags will be available starting Friday April 25. Pick up and bag the trash at the site you have selected. Keep heavy items (e.g. tires, metal) separate. Leave the bags and any heavy items at the edge of a street or parking area so that DPW can easily pick them up. If you separate out recyclables please bring them home and recycle them curbside as DPW has no capability for handling them separately. Return to this web site and report the site status along with any information you feel may be useful for DPW or for future cleanups.

Safety Tips:

Be aware of traffic, particularly at road-side sites. Avoid having children participate at sites where traffic is a concern. Know what Poison Ivy looks like and keep an eye out for it. It is abundant at the boundaries between woods and open space. Be careful handling sharp objects like broken glass Wear gloves Wash hands afterwards
